Events of Note

A roundup of Seminars and Meetings that may be of interest.

NZOSS Committee Meetings
NZOSS Committee meetings are held via IRC on the third Monday of the month. The server is chat.freenode.net and channel is #nzoss. Meetings start around 1pm.

Local Linux User Groups

There are a number of local Linux User Groups around the country. Most hold regular monthly meetings covering a variety of topics. Details of these meetings may be found on the linux.net.nz site here.

Linux.Conf.AU 2010

The 10th Annual Australasian Linux Conference will be held in Wellington (yes, New Zealand) in January 2010. This event is one of the major grassroots Linux events that occur worldwide and attracts a very high calibre of speakers from all over the world. It is one of the few events that Linus Torvalds makes the effort to attend regularly. Details here.
The 2009 conference homepage may still be found here.

DrupalSouth - Wellington 2010

A conference for Drupal developers on the 23 and 24 of January 2010, also in Wellington, (at the end of Linux.Conf.AU for the convenience of those who want to attend both!). A number of international Drupal rock stars will be in attendance. Details are on the DrupalSouth site.
