Software Lead - Software Development & Robotics

Job Description: 

My client is a high-growth robotics start up that specialises in applying cutting edge technology to autonomous vehicles.

Their enthusiastic team is working to turn leading robotics research into commercial reality.

Currently looking for innovative C++ programmers with a passion for doing things better.

As Software Lead you will provides technical leadership of the software engineering work for research and product development.
Be charged with the design, build, test and delivery of the core software and supporting components

This role will have you also act as System Architect for specific products as required and act as technical lead and mentor for the predominantly young team of developers.

You will have an in-depth understanding of software development processes, practices and technologies and experience of the full SDLC.
You will be interested in following market and technology trends and you will encourage and identify generation and capture of IP

Your past experience will include:
- Demonstrated leadership, communication and management skills.
- around 5 years plus software experience, and have worked in a commercial software environment.
- Preference for some experience of robotic control software, navigation, and environmental sensing.
